So you're interested in becomming a volunteer fireman with Steelton Fire Department? Lets get the process started NOW!

Types of Membership

Firefighter - Our firefighting membership respond to emergencies on apparatus and have voting capabilities on the company floor after meeting set requirements.

Live In/Bunk In - Our live in/bunk in membership respond to emergencies on apparatus, live at the fire house, take care of fire house chores, and have voting capabilities on the company floor after meeting set requirements.

EMS - Our EMS membership respond to medical emergencies in the borough in thre capacity of a QRS, and have voting capabilities on the company floor after meeting set requirements.

Social Member - Our soical membership assist with public events and administration of the department, as well as have voting capabilities on the company floor after meeting set requirements.

Fill out the application

Complete the Pennsylvania Child Abuse Background Check

Email your application, and background check to abennett@steeltonfire.org, or drop it off in person at the station located at 185 N Front St, Steelton, PA 17113 (there is a $10 membership fee, you can drop it off with your application or when you interview)

Interview with the membership committee

Get voted in at the monthly meeting
